Good morning, Gentle Readers.
My name is Kathryn Buttercream. I am
participating in Nano for the first time this year. I mean, I did it once a few
years ago, but this time I’m doing it for realsies. This year I have no
excuses. I’m told that the Nano train, much like the personal blogging train,
has already left the station, but I’m okay with that. I’ve always been one to
wear white after Labor Day.*
I expect overall rottenness, many faux pas in passive tense, abuse of common tropes, etcetera. However, I also expect to actually finish and maybe
even have fun.

participated in Nanowrimo?
*That’s a lie, I primarily wear black.

ReplyDeleteOn October 31, I would have said HELL YEAH! It is now the 19th and I have...900 words. Good words, fair words, delicious words--all alone. I throw enthusiastic glitter pompoms in your general direction!
You probably missed it 'cause I got cold feet and didn't announce it. You know, one of those, "Uuuuh... what if I flake on this like I flake on everything else?"
DeleteHey, 900 delicious words are better than 25,000 words of drivel! That's where I'm at. I ran out of things to write pretty early on, so my characters basically eat all the time. I have 25,000 words of people eating. I have a Mukbang in novel form!
